Dates are energy-boosting fruit snacks with amazing nutritional benefits. Allow me to call Ramadhan, the month right now that Muslims globally fast, as the dates season. Simply because more dates are consumed during this month of Ramadhan than any other month, traditionally eaten as starters snack to break our fasts so as to boost our sugar and energy levels which are usually lost while fasting, in a healthy way.
With quarantine in session, so are our creativity skills.
While fasting in quarantine, I discovered a new exotic taste of dates by adding roasted almond and pistachio nuts into dates and dipping them into melted chocolate, creating a yummilicious no-bake gluten-free and vegan dessert, which is a famous snack in the Middle East.
